The omission of Tamim raised eyebrows when the squad was unveiled on September 26. Nevertheless, the team boasts the experience of Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah. Shakib Al Hasan, a prominent name in Bangladesh cricket, remains a pivotal figure. Shakib recently assumed the role of ODI captain after Tamim’s resignation in August. His batting position at No. 4, coupled with his valuable ten overs in the challenging Indian conditions, will be crucial to Bangladesh’s prospects. Another senior player, Mushfiqur, has been in stellar form this year, especially after moving to the No. 6 slot.
